It literally took me decades to get my health sorted out. Everything started going downhill the moment I got pregnant with my first daughter. That was the beginning of my heartburn/digestive issues and it only got worse from there.
Fast forward 20 years and a couple of (unnecessary) surgeries laterI was finally diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that I knew I had, but could not get my doctors to pay attention to me!
Getting diagnosed fueled my passion to live a better life and gain control of my health. Now I’m on a journey to erase the damage that’s been done and I want to take as many with me on this journey as I possibly can.
I don’t want anyone to have to go through what I endured.
When we know better, we do better!

Whatever stage you’re at in your journey to better health, I can help. It’s my first hand knowledge that fuels my passion and it’s the sole reason I became a holistic nutritionist. After sitting in on a nutrition session by another holistic nutritionist, I was immediatly sure that this was the route I needed to take to get control of my health and I was right.
A bit of an extreme decision but I have not regretted one moment of it. I am thrilled when I help someone feel better. If you’re struggling with your health you know what I’m talking about. The absolute frustration of not being able to find answers, trying everything on the internet. Some works, some don’t, that’s life. The key is to keep going to get to the root of the problem and when you’re “sick of feeling sick” you willl keep going and I’m here to help.

Nourish
If you want to be healthy, you need to make sure you are set up to be healthy. The best place to start is in the kitchen, by throwing out all processed and refined foods

Rest
Rest is vital for better mental health, increased concentration and memory, a healthier immune system, reduced stress, improved mood and even a better metabolism.

Manage Stress
Stress wreaks havoc on the body, and is a causative factor to numerous health issues. Finding ways to deal with stress more effectively is a crucial part of my lifestyle.

Move the body
Exercise is so important, it gets energy flowing around your body, calms your mind, boosts your metabolism and releases natural endorphins to make you feel amazing.

Minset
Mindset will take control of these unconscious thought patterns and create new, positive mental behaviours that will help you become the person you want to be.

I’d be working on writing a book. Although, that’s not off the table just yet!

My health, my loved ones and my dogs Marley and Macy.

I LOVE TO EAT..
Literally anything, Thai, Mediterranean, Sushi with avocado, actually all seafood.

IDEAL VACATION
Anywhere with good people and good food. Even better if I can travel with just a carry-on.

Helping people feel better, through nutrition, yoga, mindfulness, music, a walk in nature. Heck, I’ll even through in the occassional dance party.

YEAR BY YEAR

2013
I TOOK THE LEAP AND TURNED MY PASSION FOR YOGA INTO BECOMING A TEACHER.
After being the student for 13 years and seeing what yoga could do for the body, mind and spirit, I decided that I wanted to be the one to share this with people. I wanted to put my own sassy spin on it and make it just a little less lulu and a whole lot more interesting. As soon as I ompleted my first 200 hr teacher training, I knew it wouldn’t be enough, over the next 4 years I completed a second 200 hr in Purna yoga where I developed my passion for alignment to prevent injury. Then on to India where where I did a 200 and a 300 hour simutaniously in Ashtanga where my love for yoga took on a whole other level.
2018
THE YEAR THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
My mother died unexpectly from colon cancer and my world fell apart. She was my number one fan, the one I relied on, she was my person, and now she was gone. This was the year that I decided enough was enough and that my health had to become my number one priority.
This was the year my REAL journey to better health started. I was going to get to the bottom of my poor immune system, my increasingly worsening gut health.

2020
A YEAR OF CHANGE AND GROWTH
Thanks to a pandemic, I was once again knocked down (along with most of the world) and I quickly decided that this would be my chance to become a holistic nutritionist. If not now…when? It took 3 years while being mostly locked down trying to survive, but I made it!
2024
MY FREEDOM 55 YEAR!
More changes (will they ever stop?) A move across the country, a new life, a new healthy me!
